That really depends. Many plugins can cause problems and conflicts in WordPress and experience has taught us to be cautious about unknown plugins. However, we are here to help you and if we do not have a trusted plugin for your requirements we will look into sourcing one.
Yes, your website is backed up if you use our managed WordPress hosting option. See the hosting page to see what else comes with our recommended hosting.
This is normal with WordPress as there are many elements being updated all the time. We avoid excessively updating as conflicts can occur that may affect your website. Once every month is fine (unless there is a security update).
If your website is on our managed WordPress hosting, your main software (WordPress) is updated for you. However, the theme and any other plugins will need to be done by you or us (if you have a Maintenance & Development Agreement with us).
If you’re on our WordPress maintenance agreement we take care of all software updates. You need to be careful with WordPress as there are many elements being updated often. We avoid excessively updating as conflicts can occur that may affect your website. We will periodically update all of your software when we know that any potential conflict and bugs have been eradicated.
